THE GYPSY MOTH'S ARE HERE! IN 2016 THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE CONDUCTED AN ERADICATION EFFORT TO PROTECT OREGON'S RESOURCES form the asian gypsy moth. OUR PROJECT TEAM ASSISTED WITH THE COMMUNICATIONS EFFORT.

As a member of Samara Group, an environmental consulting firm, we assisted the Insect Pest, Prevention and Management office within Oregon Department of Agriculture. The Samara project team was asked to create a stakeholder map, iterate the communications plan, implement inclusive outreach efforts, and develop lessons learned from the project. 

Specific products included: communications project management, researching and synthesizing available information, technical writing and report design, stakeholder identification and mapping, participatory communications plan development, designing internal and external communication flows, conducting outreach events in Portland, monitoring social media, supporting IPPM program staff as needed and facilitating a collaborative learning session with Washington state program managers.
